Background

JCI Victoria is the most senior local chapter among all the 21 chapters affiliated with Junior Chamber International (Hong Kong, China)/ JCIHK, China, which is affiliated with Junior Chamber International (JCI). Since its establishment, JCI Victoria has proactively responded to challenges in the community, helping to raise awareness of important social and economic issues that have a profound impact on our daily lives. Our objectives are carried out through the four areas of opportunities, namely - Individual, Community, Business, and International. In 2026, JCI Victoria focused on several major areas to contribute to and harness the power of teenagers, maximizing social impact in line with the directives of the SDGs and youth exchange on an international level. To continue our journey to reaching new heights in the aforementioned areas, we will organize three flagship projects: the SDG Enterprise Awards 2026, the 37th Grandparents' Day - “Building Love”, and AI Future Leaders.

Since its inception in 2020, the SDG Enterprise Awards (SDGEA), organised by JCI Victoria and co-organised by the CUHK Business School Centre for Business Sustainability, has grown into one of Hong Kong's most recognised platforms for celebrating corporate commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On 18 July 2026, the seventh edition of this flagship project concluded in style at the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, Admiralty, honouring 20 outstanding enterprises with the title of SDG Enterprise Award 2026 — Outstanding Enterprise.

This year's theme, "Learn Together, Win Together" (以學相長,共贏未來), called on enterprises and individuals alike to embrace continuous learning and collective action — particularly vital as the world confronts the mounting pressures of climate change, extreme weather, and evolving social challenges.

The evening drew distinguished guests across government, finance, and civil society. Legislative Council Member Mr. Lam Chun-sing, JP, affirmed the pivotal role SMEs play in social progress, noting that even under commercial pressures, enterprises that give back to society represent a remarkable "social force." He also highlighted government support initiatives such as the BUD Fund and digital transformation subsidies available to businesses.

Ms. Serena Mak, Executive Director of Sustainable Finance at DBS Bank (Hong Kong), remarked that sustainability has evolved beyond corporate social responsibility — it is now a core strategy for competitiveness, risk management, and long-term growth. She spotlighted Hong Kong's unique position as an international financial centre to lead the green transition. DBS Bank joined hands with JCI Victoria this year to establish the SDG Enterprise Awards Alumni Club, fostering ongoing exchange among award alumni to create lasting community impact.

JCI Victoria President Ms. Zico Sit underscored the Award's dual mission: to recognize enterprises walking the sustainability talk, and to deepen public awareness of the SDGs — especially among SMEs, which form the backbone of Hong Kong's economy. Organising Committee Chairperson Ms. Joyce Lung echoed this sentiment, calling on all sectors to respond to today's global challenges with shared responsibility and a forward-looking spirit.

Among the 20 awardees, one enterprise — Minimal Funeral Limited — was celebrated with the prestigious Five-Year Award, reflecting sustained commitment over consecutive years. The full list spans diverse sectors including green mobility, social enterprise, mental wellness, education, recycling, and sustainable technology, reflecting the breadth of SDG action taking root across Hong Kong's business community.

JCI Victoria's 2026 theme, "Reaching New Heights", rings true as the SDGEA continues to expand its reach. With over 300 enterprises from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas having participated across seven editions, the Awards stand as a living testament to the power of young active citizens — proving that from ONE, we create INFINITE impact; TOGETHER, we create a BETTER FUTURE.
