JCI Tsuen Wan

Background
JCI Tsuen Wan is the 20th affiliated chapter of JCI Hong Kong. Established in 2013 by a number of Past Presidents from our sponsored chapter JCI Kowloon led by 1982 National President Senator Andrew Wong and 2013 National President Senator Paul Wu. Being a JCI Chapter in Tsuen Wan, we will focus more on projects of different nature for the benefit of Tsuen Wan District. Apart from Tsuen Wan, we also value international relationships, with JCI Jayakarta, Indonesia and JCI Malacca City Entrepreneurs, Malaysia. All JCI members are sharing the common belief of contributing to the betterment of the community and developing skills and social responsibility to create positive change. This is attained through the four areas of opportunity, namely Business & Entrepreneurship, International Cooperation, Individual Development, and Community Impact. Since 2013, we have been engaged in a flagship project on Outstanding Family Business Selection. The project praises family businesses who did outstanding planning and innovative for their long term business development. This is encouraging people to take action for long term development of their family business. In addition, we have been engaged in another flagship project on Children’s Play Rights. Racing Article 31 of Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) - "The right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.". We hope to deliver a message that every child has the right to enjoy a play time to play freely, for at least one hour everyday and that includes outdoor activities.

First half of 2026
JCI Tsuen Wan (JCITW) is a dynamic non-profit leadership development organization and the 20th affiliated chapter of Junior Chamber International Hong Kong, China. Established in 2013, our chapter comprises over 30 young active citizens aged 18 to 40, including entrepreneurs, civil servants, and professionals. We are dedicated to providing leadership opportunities that empower young people to create positive community change in the community.

2026 Theme: "Masteries Unleash" In 2026, JCI Tsuen Wan operates under the theme "Masteries Unleash" This vision calls on our members to move beyond basic participation and instead unleash their professional and leadership potential to serve future generations.

1. We Are Masters “We Are Masters” is a transformative program designed to empower individuals to unlock their personal potential through practical skill mastery. Through hands-on courses such as mobile photography, social media growth, and AI content creation, participants evolve from passive consumers into confident creators. Aligned with the spirit of “Masteries Unleash,” the project inspires members to step out of their comfort zones, discover their strengths, and turn knowledge into real-world impact. This Leadership Development program includes three courses: • Master with Shot • Master with Flow • Master in AI

2. Children’s Play Rights (遊戲權利您有SAY) Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, this flagship project remains committed to advocating for Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. With research indicating that nearly 70% of children experience high levels of stress, our 2026 campaign,“10 Years of Play, Moving Forward Together (童戲十載 躍動前行),” reinforces the belief that every child deserves at least one hour of free play each day.. Key activities include an innovative 3D Printing Workshop - where children move from "participants" to "creators"—and a large-scale community carnival.

3. Walking Together, Restarting Lives (同行,再出發) Aligned with the belief that “Service to Humanity is the Best Work of Life,” this project focuses on social inclusiveness. It supports 130 individuals living in transitional environments “Second Homes” (halfway houses, community living rooms, and elder care homes) who are separated from their primary support systems. The project aims to rebuild participants’ confidence and social connections. A key highlight is the Reflection Seminar on 5 July, which emphasizes our shared responsibility to care for vulnerable groups and foster community harmony.
Through these initiatives, JCI Tsuen Wan continues to unleash the mastery of its members, to bridge social gaps, and build a more inclusive and resilient Hong Kong
Second half of 2026
In 2026, JCI Tsuen Wan focused on three signature flagship initiatives under our annual theme "Masteries Unleash." Together, these projects reflected our commitment to leadership development, community impact and sustainable partnerships while empowering members to become active changemakers.

We Are Masters
We Are Masters is JCI Tsuen Wan's signature leadership development platform, designed to equip members with practical digital and communication skills while encouraging them to develop their own personal intellectual property (IP). The programme comprises three progressive learning experiences: Master with Shot, Master with Flow, and Master with AI.
Members learned mobile photography, visual storytelling, event documentation, social media strategy, content planning, AI-assisted copywriting, graphic design, video production and digital marketing. More than 40 participants joined the series, applying their newly acquired skills directly to chapter branding through event coverage, street interviews, AI-generated content and promotional campaigns. Beyond supporting chapter development, members also strengthened their personal branding and professional confidence. The initiative transformed members into capable communicators, digital creators and future leaders who are prepared to lead in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Children's Play Rights – 「童戲十載.躍動前行」
Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Children's Play Rights continued JCI Tsuen Wan's long-standing mission to advocate children's right to play in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Under the theme "童戲十載.躍動前行", the project promoted free play as an essential element of children's physical, emotional and social development.
The campaign featured a 3D Printing Workshop, Children's Mind Drawing Workshop and a Closing Ceremony cum Carnival. More than 600 survey responses were collected to examine the relationship between free play and children's mental well-being. The closing carnival attracted over 2,500 participants, with support from more than 60 organizations and 40 volunteers. A unique highlight was the concept of "遊戲由我話事", where children designed and operated their own game booths, encouraging creativity, independence and leadership. Through education, research and community participation, the project continued to build a more child-friendly society while raising public awareness of children's mental health and well-being.

Walking Together, Restarting Lives – 「同行.再出發」

Inspired by the JCI Human Duties Declaration, Walking Together, Restarting Lives (同行.再出發) was launched to promote social inclusion by building meaningful connections with rehabilitation service users, elderly beneficiaries and vulnerable communities. Rather than providing one-off volunteer services, the project focused on creating sustainable relationships through continuous engagement and mutual learning.
The project included four signature activities: community visits "同行去探訪", art expression workshops "同行繪心聱", woodworking experiences "同行做木工"and the Human Duties Sharing Forum "同行人類責任分享會". Members worked alongside community partners including Caritas Tsuen Wan Community Living Room, SideBySide, rehabilitation organizations and elderly service groups to encourage empathy, dignity and second chances.
More than 300 beneficiaries participated throughout the project, while the Human Duties Sharing Forum brought together community leaders, professionals and social workers to discuss inclusion and responsible citizenship. By connecting government, NGOs, community organizations and volunteers, the initiative demonstrated how collaboration can create lasting social impact. More importantly, it empowered members to practice Human Duties through action, transforming compassion into sustainable community leadership.
