JCI Island Updates: First Quarter Highlights and Engagement
JCI Island commenced 2026 with strong momentum under the theme “Unite to Ignite,” delivering a series of impactful initiatives that fostered leadership development, fellowship, international engagement, and community service.

The year began with the JCI Island 2026 Inaugural Ceremony, marking the official installation of the Board of Directors and setting a clear direction for the year ahead. This was followed by the January Fellowship Gathering, providing members with a valuable opportunity to reconnect, strengthen bonds, and build a united foundation for the chapter.
Alongside internal engagement, JCI Island remained committed to creating positive community impact. From January to March, the chapter organized monthly social outreach initiatives in collaboration with Fu Hong Society, St. James’ Settlement, and Rotary Club of Island Green. These efforts enabled members to actively serve the community while strengthening external partnerships and reinforcing the organisation’s social responsibility.

In February, the chapter further strengthened internal cohesion through a series of fellowship activities. The SMC Chinese New Year Gathering, held as the official monthly meeting in collaboration with the Senior Member Club, provided a meaningful platform for interaction between current and senior members, fostering intergenerational bonding while celebrating the festive spirit of the Chinese New Year. Complementing this, the Wine Thursday gathering offered a relaxed and engaging setting for members to connect, unwind, and deepen relationships, further enhancing the sense of belonging within the chapter.

In addition, JCI Island actively participated in cross-chapter initiatives during the month, including the JCIV x KJC x IJC x PJC Niigata Night and the IJC x LRJC x YLJC x BJC x CLJC Chinese New Year Hiking. These engagements expanded members’ networks across Local Organizations and strengthened inter-chapter friendships, further embodying the spirit of unity within JCI.
March marked another highlight in both fellowship and collaboration. The March Fellowship Gathering: Whiskey Tasting & Investment, co-hosted with JCI Dragon, provided a unique platform that combined lifestyle experience with professional development. Members not only enjoyed an interactive whiskey tasting session but also gained valuable insights into investment strategies, enriching both their personal and professional growth.

On the international front, JCI Island strengthened its global presence through official visits and attendances at key events of its sister chapters. The chapter was honored to attend the Inaugural Ceremonies of JCI Taipei and JCI Manileña, as well as the 72nd Anniversary Celebration of JCI Seoul. These engagements deepened international friendships, reinforced strategic partnerships, and broadened members’ global perspectives, truly reflecting the spirit of One JCI.
Overall, the first quarter of 2026 has demonstrated JCI Island’s commitment to unity, engagement, and impact. Through a balanced approach encompassing leadership development, fellowship, community service, cross-chapter collaboration, and international exchange, the chapter continues to build a strong and sustainable foundation for the year ahead, bringing the vision of “Unite to Ignite” to life.
Second half of 2026
The past three months have been an exciting and memorable chapter for JCI Island, with a strong focus on fellowship, leadership development, international exchange and community engagement under our 2026 theme, “Unite to Ignite.”
One of the biggest highlights was the JC Sports Day 2026, held on 1 May. As one of JCI Hong Kong’s flagship projects, the event brought together 21 chapters through track and field competitions, creating an energetic platform for members to connect, compete and build stronger friendships. Beyond the sporting spirit, the event demonstrated the power of collaboration and fellowship across JCI.

In May, we also hosted “港島狂潮.圍爐樂敍”, bringing Islanders together for a relaxed evening of food, drinks and fellowship. It was a great opportunity for members across different generations to reconnect and create new memories as we moved closer towards our 60th Anniversary.
In June, our members travelled to ASPAC in Niigata, Japan, where we reconnected with our sister chapters and met JCI members from different countries and regions. Through fellowship gatherings, cultural exchanges and meaningful conversations, we strengthened our international friendships and expanded our global network.

Our June Monthly Fellowship also focused on Public Speaking and Presentation Skills, giving members a practical opportunity to enhance their communication and presentation abilities.
In July, we organised Pickleball Day, encouraging members to stay active while strengthening fellowship through a fun and relaxed sporting experience.

All these activities have been leading us towards a very special milestone:

JCI Island 60th Anniversary Banquet Join us as we celebrate 60 years of legacy, honour the generations before us, and ignite the next chapter of JCI Island.
60 Years of Legacy. One Island. One Family.
See you on 10.10.2026!
