WE United, Worlds Ignited
"WE United, Worlds Ignited." This powerful slogan has driven the JCI Hong Kong Jayceettes' phenomenal Q1 2026. We’ve turned words into action, rolling out initiatives that spark meaningful change—from championing women’s leadership and business acumen to driving sustainability and bridging generational divides. Celebrating Women’s Success March was anchored by our WE United International Women’s Day series:
- The Helena May Soirée: 80 attendees absorbed invaluable leadership insights. Guest speaker Mrs. Wendy Siu beautifully captured the room, reminding us that true empowerment means "sharing, learning, & growing with each other."

- HKFW Celebratory Dinner: We stood united with wider changemakers. We had an exchange with HKFW Chairlady Ms. Pansy Ho, reinforcing that when women support each other across sectors, progress is limitless.
- Art & Craftsmanship: Exclusive tours of the HKTDC International Jewelry Show and Art Central VIP Preview offered vibrant cultural explorations. The breathtaking masterpieces perfectly mirrored the courage and authenticity essential in women's leadership. Monthly Fellowship Gatherings & Business Acumen Our Monthly Fellowship Gatherings brilliantly balanced connection with professional growth. Our February Fellowship Gathering launched the Magnetic Power Group to tightly knit Full Members and Senior Members through collaborative challenges.
In March, we shifted to entrepreneurship with From Dreams to Deals. We were deeply honored to learn from Mr. Derek Lau, Assistant Director of Intellectual Property (Advisory), Intellectual Property Department, and Ms. Kristen Lie, IP Licensor @bobowithfriends and @momoland, who inspired members to boldly leverage their creative assets. Looking Ahead The fire grows brighter! As we step into Q2, our impact expands with major projects on the horizon:

Co-create for Goods 2026: Hand in Hand: Following our Valentine's Day launch bringing toy-sharing joy to Eastern District elders, we will continue fostering deep intergenerational empathy with the Eldpathy Simulation Workshop on April 25.
Waste to Wonder 惜食種奇蹟 2026: Transforming food waste into public art, this flagship ESG initiative is making tangible waves. With 9 schools confirmed and EPD backing for 65 Environment Day, we are on track to produce 3,400+ bioplastic coffee-ground pots. Next up: a free, family-friendly Zero-Waste Coffee Ground Workshop on April 25!

HER·TRANSFORM 蛻變·她創 2026: Launching April 26, this highly anticipated leadership series will empower members through career mapping, personal style positioning, and wellness.
Asia Pacific Lady LOMs Convention (APLLC): On the international stage, we are actively uniting at least 16 female chapters for JCI ASPAC in Niigata, Japan, this June.
Let us continue to unite, ignite the worlds, and lead with purpose!

Asia Pacific Lady LO Convention
亞太女青商高峰會 The 4th APLLC was successfully hosted in Niigata, Japan with over 100 attendees. Under the theme “Sustainability for Women”, leaders from 15 Local Female Chapters took the stage to share insights on how female-led initiatives are driving massive impact.

WP Dialogue: Inspiring Change with the 2026 JCI President Alejandra Castillo
This year’s APLLC also featured a dialogue session with the historic 5th female JCI President, and the very first from Bolivia and Latin America, dove deep into her incredible journey, from her early impactful projects like “Un Vaso de Leche” to balancing a successful career as a chemical engineer and cosmetics specialist with nearly two decades of JCI volunteer leadership. She reminded us of the "stubborn determination" that defines women leaders and shared profound insights on overcoming barriers and self-doubt. JCI Women in Leadership Commission Rycho Cheuk, deputy chairperson of the Women in Leadership Commission, shared how her Commission empower women within JCI and beyond. WASTE TO WONDER 2026 惜食種奇蹟 Hong Kong currently generates over 3,000 tonnes of food waste daily. To inspire tangible action against this crisis, the Project team partnered with 9 local schools and more than 500 students to transform used coffee grounds into over 1,000 eco-friendly plant pots.
Eco Workshop Series Running from April through June, the campaign prioritized hands-on environmental education. We hosted a series of interactive workshops for teachers, students, and the Hong Kong Girl Guides, which included a featured upcycling session during the Environmental Protection Department’s National Environment Day 2026.

Busan Student Exchange In July, 16 selected student delegates traveled to Busan, South Korea, for a 4-day exchange program, where they witnessed advanced commercial technologies that seamlessly turn coffee waste into sustainable products. The trip not only deepened their environmental awareness but also fostered remarkable teamwork. This new synergy was on full display at the Student Sharing and Awards Ceremony on August 1st, where the delegates arrived early to collaboratively arrange their eco-pots into the number "3001"—a powerful visual reminder of Hong Kong's daily waste tonnage and a symbol of their commitment to driving real change. Co-create for GOODs 2026: Hand in Hand 共善同創 : 同"你"牽 代代融 The Project was a movement to connecting generations with empathy.

February – Valentine’s Day Family Visit Together with HK Girl Guides and Wofoo Shared Good Value Platform, we visited over 70 elderly households, delivering more than 100 care packs filled with love. Mothers brought their children, turning compassion into action and teaching the next generation the true meaning of care.
April – Eldpathy Simulation Workshop Over 40 young people stepped into the shoes of elders through immersive simulation experiences. They gained a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges faced by seniors.

July – The Grand Finale: Tech for Generations 50 youth became teachers guiding 50 elders in using AI tools and gerontechnology for a day of learning, laughter, and genuine connection. HER·TRANSFORM 2026 蛻變·她創 The Project focused on personal growth and confidence building for women through a series of themed activities, including career development, personal image, health awareness, self-expression, and networking opportunities for women from different backgrounds, aiming to support participants in rediscovering their strengths and personal values.
