The “Explore Chinese Mainland witH JCI Sister Chapters - Qing Yuan” co-hosted by the JCI Lion Rock and JCI Dragon, co-hosted by Hong Kong-GuangDong Youth Exchange Promotion Association (粵港青年交流促進會) and co-organised by the Hong Kong-QingYuan Youth Exchange Promotion Association (清港青年交流促進會), was successfully held from March 4 to 6.

JCI Lion Rock and JCI Dragon were responsible for inviting JCI members from various countries and regions to participate, while the Hong Kong-GuangDong Youth Exchange Promotion Association took charge of liaising with relevant authorities in mainland China to finalize the detailed itinerary. The primary objective of this study tour was to provide an invaluable opportunity for young business leaders from around the world to visit China, gain first-hand insights into the country’s latest economic and social developments, build meaningful international friendships, and explore potential business opportunities. Through this initiative, it is hoped that participants will become effective bridges in telling positive and authentic stories about modern China to the global community. We successfully brought together JCI members from Mongolia, Malaysia, and Taiwan, creating a diverse and vibrant multinational group.

On the first day, the QingYuan Municipal Government hosted a warm welcome banquet for the delegation, during which a comprehensive city promotion presentation was delivered. Mr. Su Jindan (蘇錦丹), Member of the Standing Committee of the Qingyuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, attended the event to extend his warm welcome.

On the second day, the participants visited leading local enterprises specializing in garment manufacturing and intelligent window decoration systems. In the afternoon, they enjoyed a scenic tour of the breathtaking Gulong Gorge and the ecological mangrove forest area, immersing themselves in the natural beauty of QingYuan. The evening was highlighted by a delightful banquet hosted by the QingYuan Overseas Chinese Federation.

On the third and final day, the delegation toured Tian’an Zhigu Technology Park and several prominent electronics enterprises, gaining valuable exposure to the region’s advanced technological and industrial capabilities. At noon, they embarked on a relaxing boat cruise along the beautiful Beijiang River while savoring a delicious onboard lunch, bringing the memorable trip to a perfect and satisfying conclusion.
This successful exchange activity will be actively promoted across various JCI chapters. It is hoped that leveraging the extensive international networks of JCI. Such initiatives will further strengthen international friendship, deepen cross-border cooperation, and contribute to a better global understanding of China’s remarkable progress and development.

*Dragon Apprentice 2026: Sustainable Future*
JCI Dragon, together with the Hong Kong Youth Lions Club, launched Dragon Apprentice 2026, “Sustainable Future”, an experiential learning programme that empowered fifty Secondary Three to Secondary Six students to explore Environmental, Social and Governance principles and shape their future pathways.
Following five months of promotion and recruitment, the project moved from awareness to action through learning experiences. An online briefing on 30 May introduced ESG foundations and explained why sustainable development matters to young people, businesses and society. At the opening ceremony on 4 July, ten distinguished speakers, including ESG practitioners, finance professionals and legal specialists, shared practical insights through workshops and thematic sessions. Participants considered how ESG can be embedded in career planning and everyday decisions.

The programme placed students at the centre of learning. It created an energetic space for questions, reflection and collaboration, allowing participants to connect global sustainability challenges with their personal aspirations. By listening to practitioners from different sectors, they gained a clearer understanding that responsible leadership requires both vision and practical action.
On 11 July, students presented their ideas in a pitching and sharing session, demonstrating confidence, creativity and a growing sense of responsibility. They were matched with experienced mentors and offered meaningful exposure to professional and business networks, opening doors to future internships and development opportunities. The graduation ceremony on 9 August celebrated their commitment and the achievements of this journey.
Dragon Apprentice 2026 reflected JCI Dragon’s commitment to developing young leaders who are socially responsible, globally minded and ready to create positive change. By connecting emerging talent with cross sector expertise, the project transformed ESG from a concept into a lived experience. It strengthened participants’ leadership potential, broadened their horizons and encouraged them to become citizens who will build a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable Hong Kong for generations to come.

*Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Creative Summit 2026*

JCI Dragon, in collaboration with Hong Kong Baptist University’s Knowledge Transfer Office, presented the Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Creative Summit 2026. Under the theme “Empowering Hong Kong’s Creative Economy through Intellectual Property Innovation”, the Summit convened leaders from academia, creative industries, business and professional services to explore intellectual property’s role in Hong Kong’s future.
We were honoured to welcome Mr David FL WONG, JP, Director of Intellectual Property, as Guest of Honour. His presence underscored the importance of a robust intellectual property ecosystem in supporting innovation, creative entrepreneurship and sustainable growth. The Summit also brought together distinguished speakers from diverse fields, whose perspectives connected public policy, academic research, creative practice, brand development and professional expertise. Their contributions enriched the conversations and illustrated the value of collective action in building a resilient creative economy.

Three panel discussions examined Brand Building and Management, Brand Discovery and Brand Protection. Academics, creative industry practitioners, business leaders and specialists shared insights into developing brands, protecting ideas and turning creativity into sustainable value. The sessions demonstrated how informed intellectual property management can nurture innovation and strengthen the creative ecosystem.
The event featured a showcase of creative works from Hong Kong Baptist University’s Department of Interactive Media and the Hong Kong Creative Industry Development Research Institute. The exhibition demonstrated the imagination and entrepreneurial potential of local creative talent, illustrating how original concepts can become cultural and commercial opportunities.
Through knowledge exchange and resource matching, the Summit connected people, ideas and opportunities. It reflected JCI Dragon’s belief in the power of partnership to create positive change and fulfil the JCI mission of providing development opportunities that empower young people to create a better world. By strengthening ties between industry and academia, the Summit advanced a shared vision of a vibrant, innovative and internationally connected Hong Kong creative economy.
