As we step into 2026, the JCIHK Alumni Club is thrilled to embrace our new theme: “All in Happiness 資深同行 歡樂滿紛.” The first quarter has been a whirlwind of prestigious ceremonies, international friendships, and outdoor adventures. Under the leadership of our 2026 Chairman, we are dedicated to living life to the fullest—sharing joy, laughter, and meaningful connections at every turn.
A Season of New Beginnings & International Ties The year began with a moment of great honour. On January 3, at the JCIHK Inauguration Ceremony, our 2026 Chairman officially received the appointment from Senator Daryl Lin, National President of JCIHK. This marked the start of a year focused on leading our senior members to continue gathering, exchanging ideas, and enjoying the finest things in life together.
On January 20, JCIHK hosted a Welcome Dinner for JCI President Alejandra Castillo. Our chairman presented a gift with traditional Chinese characteristics, symbolizing the gratitude of Hong Kong’s senior members and opening our international chapter for 2026 with elegance.
Wellness in Nature: The 1st Hong Kong Hiking Festival
Embodying our theme, over a dozen senior members and their families gathered at Pak Tam Chung for the 1st Hong Kong Hiking Festival hosted by Hiking Fun (行山樂). Under clear skies, we completed the four-hour Sheung Yiu Family Walk. It was a journey of mutual support where we also practiced "Leave No Trace," proving our alumni are responsible global citizens!
Festive Joy: Lunar New Year & Year of the Horse Celebrations
As the Lunar New Year approached, the spirit of family took center stage. On February 10, the National Alumni Club Executive Committee Year-End Dinner (團年飯) brought together Past Chairmen and Local Chapter Senior Member Club Chairmen. Our Chairman, Irene, led the toasts to the Year of the Horse, filling the room with warmth.
This festive energy continued into March 8 at the "Galloping Horse Welcomes the New Year (萬馬奔騰迎新歲)" Spring Reception. Bringing together members from all 21 local chapters—across all generations—the evening was a vibrant display of JCI unity and friendship that truly set the tone for the months ahead.
Cultural Exploration: Foshan Gourmet & Heritage Tour
On April 11 & 12, we ventured beyond Hong Kong for the Foshan Gourmet Tour. From the breathtaking "Romantic Show of Guangdong" (廣東千古情實景SHOW) to the historic Foshan Ancestral Temple (佛山祖廟 ) and Lingnan Tiandi (嶺南新天地), every moment blended culture and fun. Members enjoyed local delicacies and bonded over spirited games.
Chill Vibes: LOM SMC Chairmen Friday Gathering To wrap up a busy quarter, we held the LOM SMC Chairmen Gathering on April 17. With the theme “Drink, Play, & Chill,” it was the perfect Happy Friday. Members took a break from their daily routines to reconnect, share updates on upcoming chapter activities in a relaxed, joyful environment.
Looking Ahead: Keeping the Joy Overflowing! The start of the year has been nothing short of spectacular, but we are just getting started! With our hearts full and our spirits high, we look forward to even more opportunities to eat, drink, play, and enjoy life together.
